My name is Marissa. I first met Rachel and began grooming in 2018 after working on the sales floor at PetSmart. I became fascinated by the work happening in the salon and what started as curiosity quickly grew into a career I truly enjoy.
My Story
While I received my initial training at PetSmart, I continued learning throughout my career while working in multiple salons across Connecticut and Massachusetts. I also actively pursue continuing education regularly by attending seminars and courses. I especially enjoy practical pet trims, thorough de-sheds, and tidy outline work that enhances a dog's natural structure.

My priority during every groom is the dog's comfort and happiness. I take pride in building trust with the dogs I work with and enjoy being able to help them feel safe and relaxed throughout the process. I also enjoy helping owners maintain fluffier pet length trims through proper coat care and helping to establish a consistent grooming schedule that helps keep the coat healthy and manageable, rather than defaulting to shaving.

I appreciate grooming not only as a service, but as a form of artistry, and I love seeing the bonds I build with dogs grow over time. I also enjoy the smile from happy clients at pickup.

Outside of work, I like to read books and spend time with my cats, Nyla and Betty.
